has been submitted in support of a letter writing campaign to get

- Tim has been unceremoniously terminated by the North Shore News after
16 years on the job!
- On Monday March 19/2001 Council removed
Deep Cove's exemption from the
standard lot area definition. The rules now again apply equitably across all
District lots. Council also moved to sell the single-family lots on Anne Macdonald Way.
- Community input was provided at the March 8/2001 meeting
at District Hall 5:30-7:00pm on
"Art in public places"
- There was a public meeting at 1:00pm,
Monday , March 5th at District Hall. The purpose of this meeting was for the
Mayor and Councillors Crist/Denault and our Acting Director of Finance to
investigate members of Council use of discretionary allowances as per
Bylaw 6995.
They also reviewed Bylaw 6994
and 6632. These are funds that are
intended to offset expenses for a variety of activities. The recommendations finally
adopted by council can be found in agenda item #1 of
March 26
